Hi, I am Marina

Let's get to know each other

I’m a wedding and portrait photographer based in the South of France. When I was a child growing up in Croatia, my dad had a small photography business and was taking photos of my family with an analog camera and developing them in the basement. Unfortunately, he decided to switch careers and work in electrical engineering instead, but I believe that God used these early childhood events of observing my dad with a camera to plant a seed of love for photography. I also recall one event in elementary school when a business partner of my dad came from the USA and gave gifts to me and my sister. He gave me a small camera and to my sister a doll. What are the chances of getting such a gift from a complete stranger? If you ask me, nothing is random with the Lord.

" Let all that you do be done in love."

1 Corinthians 16:14

In high school, I decided to buy an amateur Canon camera to take photos of jewellery that I was making and ended up taking this camera wherever I went, capturing portraits of friends and strangers on my travels. Observing the world through a lens was a whole new world and it fascinated me. But I never thought it could ever be something more than just a hobby like any other creative passion I had. That’s why I decided to study biology and do masters in molecular biology, as I was curious about DNA and genes and I wanted to know more. That career choice opened new possibilities for traveling to study and work in different countries and one of them was France. French aesthetics always intrigued me and I quickly fell in love with everything French. This is the land where the seed Lord planted a long time ago, sprouted and bore fruits. I spent any free time I had researching the ins and outs of photography and learning everything I could from other photographers via online courses and as a second shooter and in 2019, it was time to taste the first fruits. To my very surprise, I loved it and I wanted more of it. Fast-forward to this day, I am beyond thankful to the Lord for blessing my business each year, teaching and improving me so I can serve the best possible outcome to couples that He sends my way. It is a privilege to capture the beauty of the covenant of marriage and I know that the Lord delights in it (Ephesians 5:22-33). On that note, I look forward to finding more about you and your wonderful wedding plans. Can't wait that we make some beautiful art together.
